Justin Lai Appointed to NWFPA Sanitary Design Taskforce

Food Safety Through Better Design

Vancouver, BC – Justin Lai, Vice President of Marketing & Sales for FPS – Food Process Solutions Corporation has been appointed to the Northwest Food Processors Associations (NWFPA) Sanitary Design Task Force. This Task Force has brought together people, at the forefront of sanitary design, to develop guides to improve design in the food processing industry – a critical component of keeping our food chain safe.

“FPS leads the industry and has grown exponentially due to our commitment to revolutionizing hygienic standards,” stated Lai. “While we design and manufacture cooling and freezing equipment, keeping food safe is what drives our day-to-day work and it is a pleasure join forces with others who share this passion”, continues Lai.

Mr. Lai has been with FPS-Food Process Solutions since 2010 and holds a Master’s Degree in Pharmacology from the University of Toronto.

Headquartered in Richmond, British Columbia, FPS – Food Process Solutions now has over 140,000 square feet of manufacturing space and provides freezing and cooling solutions to a global clientele.

The Northwest Food Processors Association is based in Portland, Oregon and one of its key mandates is education. The first comprehensive guide developed by the Sanitary Design Task Force is titled Sanitary Design Made Simple for the Rest of Us and contains check lists, images and simple graphics to make sanitary design easy to understand. The guide is set to be released later this month.
