Vancouver, Canada – On Friday, November 22, FPS Food Process Solutions (FPS) was awarded the BC Export Award in the Manufactured Products Category.

Richmond based, FPS Food Process Solutions was incorporated in 2010 and has since become a global leader of turnkey industrial freezing and cooling equipment. Two companies in British Columbia’s steel and aluminum sector scale up and innovate thanks to Government of Canada investment
Richmond, BC – Canada’s steel and aluminum sector is an important contributor to the economy and to manufacturing supply chains, providing thousands of Canadians with good middle-class jobs across the country.
That is why the Government of Canada is delivering on the Steel and Aluminum Initiative, announced in March 2019, which will help businesses heavily dependent on steel and/or aluminum to grow and modernize.
On August 7th, Joe Peschisolido, Member of Parliament for Steveston – Richmond East, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD), announced $1.9 million in funding for two Lower Mainland companies in the steel and aluminum sector.
With $1 million in funding, Tree Island Industries, a well-established steel wire manufacturer, will purchase equipment that uses drawn and galvanized wire to produce innovative, high-demand livestock fencing. This investment will help the company respond to market opportunities and create new jobs for local residents.
Another $900,000 will help FPS Food Process Solutions, a global leader in turn-key food freezing and cooling equipment, to further develop more efficient freezer technology. The funding will support the company to grow their customer base, offer new training opportunities to employees and produce more energy efficient freezing equipment.

FPS Food Process Solutions Opens First Manufacturing & Support Centre in China
Vancouver, Canada – Answering to the increasing demand from the Asian Market, FPS Food Process Solutions (FPS) announced the official opening of its new Manufacturing & Support Centre in Zhongshan, China. Zhongshan is a vibrant, blooming commercial city in the south of China.
The new facility, with 8,500 sq. m. (91,500 sq. ft.), is another strategic milestone of FPS’ global expansion plan as it further realizes its Vision - to revolutionize hygienic standards. Led by General Manager, May Lin, the Zhongshan Centre will act as a single location for sales, support services, and fabrication. In addition to the large manufacturing, warehousing and office space, the new facility will include a showcase of the industry-leading IQF Tunnel and Spiral Freezers, all with signature externally mounted motors. This location will mainly serve the China and Southeast Asian region.

FPS’ Acquisition of Total Solutions Limited Will Strengthen Its Presence in the Fast-growing Asia Pacific Market
Vancouver, BC – FPS Food Process Solutions Corporation (FPS) today announced it had signed an agreement to acquire Total Solutions Limited (TSL), a leading fabricator of food processing equipment and conveyor systems in Auckland, New Zealand. With TSL’s knowledge base and project management experience, FPS will expand its global outreach in manufacturing and customer services/support in the region.
TSL has been providing comprehensive engineering services since 2003. Mark Peagram, the current Owner and Managing Director, will continue to oversee the day-to-day operations. “TSL houses a team of skilled professionals which are capable of handling a wide range of multi-level industry projects that include mechanical and electrical design, manufacturing, fabrication and installation”, said Peagram. “As a part of FPS, we see an extraordinary opportunity to further accelerate TSL’s momentum.”

FPS Expands to the Netherlands
Vancouver, BC – FPS announced the opening of a manufacturing & service centre in Goes, Netherlands. Goes is a coastal town in the south-west of the Netherlands. The new location will be our first office in Europe and is led by our Managing Director Kees Jansen van Rosendaal and Technical Services Director Johan van Zweden.
The new office houses both a sales team and a project management team. It will also serve as the administration office and manufacturing plant. The new facility enables FPS to meet the growing demands for FPS’ food processing equipment.

Goes is not only a long-standing hub of agriculture, but also a region for food processing and distribution. “While the Netherlands is now the world’s second largest exporter of agricultural products, FPS Food Process Solutions Europe B.V. hopes to service our clients in food process industry as well as providing easy access to all major processors in Europe, such as the vegetable and potato processors”, added Chang.
