1/4: Raw Receiving
Did you know? At FPS, every potato’s journey begins with gentle care, from careful storage that preserves freshness and prevents bruising, to advanced cleaning and sorting systems that remove dirt, debris, and defects. With this blend of gentle handling, deep cleaning, and precise sorting, FPS sets the gold standard for food safety and quality.
2/4: Blanching
Ever wonder why fries don’t turn gray? It’s thanks to blanching, a quick boil that deactivates enzymes and removes extra sugars through osmosis.
3/4: Frying
When frying fries, the natural sugars and proteins react under high heat to create their irresistible golden color and rich, complex flavors. At the same time, the hot oil helps eliminate bacteria and microbes, making sure your fries are both tasty and safe.
4/4: Freezing and Packaging
Rapid freezing forms tiny ice crystals that preserve texture, keeping fries fresh and safe. After discharge, the frozen fries are seamlessly sent to packaging, locking in freshness to ensure fries are ready to eat from farm to fork.

Since 2020, FPS has contributed to the Richmond Food Bank in both food items and monetary donations, all to help
place food on tables for local families.
